Aufgeklärte Publizität ist in den Parajournalismus der Laien und den Postjournalismus der Profis zerfallen. Web 2.0 ist das Kürzel für eine radikaldemokratische Kollaboration der Kommunikationslustigen aller Länder, der Name für jene neuen Medien, deren Inhalte von den Nutzern selbst produziert werden. Kein Zukunftsforscher hätte voraussehen können, daß der Blog, das ins Netz gestellte Tagebuch von allen und jedem, zur größten Herausforderung der Mainstream-Medien werden könnte.
Für die Untersuchung wurden die Angaben von 1277 Jugendlichen vor allem aus Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg und Niedersachsen ausgewertet. 86 Prozent der Befragten erklärten, mehrmals die Woche oder täglich im Internet zu surfen.
