According to the introduction, this thought provoking book is a ‘ground breaking collection’ which is ‘the first to focus specifically on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans* (LGBT*) people and dementia.’ Whether it is the first is open to debate, but it does provide a wealth of interesting and stimulating ideas and information about this important but niche area of interest. As authors within this edited collection state more than once, any discussion about sexuality, gender and dementia is going to be contentious due to the complexity and fluidity of all of these terms. As such, this book is sometimes not an easy read, but it is well worth an element of perseverance. Login using your SSOTP NHS Athens for full text.
