Im Fokus der konstruktiven Oppositionsarbeit der FDP-Fraktion stehen diese Woche die Themen Digitalisierung der Wirtschaft, Freihandel und Maghreb-Staaten. Fraktionschef Christian Lindner stellt drei Initiativen vor, die die Freien Demokraten diese Woche einbringen werden. Heutzutage seien Software, Hardware und Smartphones nach fünf Jahren hoffnungslos veraltet, genau dies sei aber der steuerliche Abschreibungszeitraum. Die FDP-Fraktion wolle erreichen, dass digitale Wirtschaftsgüter künftig innerhalb von drei Jahren abgeschrieben werden könnten, erklärt Lindner. "Das beschleunigt die Investitionszyklen und stärkt die Innovationskraft in diesem digitalen Bereich von Mittelstand, freien Berufen und kleinen Gewerbetreibenden", betont er.

Das Handelsabkommen CETA (Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement) zwischen der EU und Kanada landet nun doch noch vor den EU-Richtern. Belgien werde den Europäischen Gerichtshof (EuGH) in Luxemburg ersuchen zu entscheiden, ob der in CETA geschaffene Investitionsgerichtshof (ICS) EU-Recht widerspricht, teilte Attac Österreich am Mittwoch mit.
Handelsabkommen neuen Typs wie TTIP, CETA oder JEFTA gehen weit über die Regelung von Zöllen und Außenhandelsbeziehungen hinaus. Die Debatte rund um das EU-Freihandelsabkommen Ceta mit Kanada machte wieder deutlich: Transnationale Politik offenbart die Grenzen von Demokratie in ihrer bisher bekannten nationalstaatlichen Ausprägung. Politische Probleme werden unübersichtlicher, Abhängigkeiten größer, Handlungsspielräume enger, das Vertrauen in die politische Handlungsfähigkeit nimmt ab, die Distanz zu demokratischen Institutionen wächst.
Eventuell wird TiSA auch ohne Zustimmung der nationalen Parlamente und des EU-Parlaments unterschrieben. In der Schweiz gibt es bereits Pläne, TiSA als Anhängsel der WTO-Pläne zu behandeln und daher einfach zu übernehmen.
