KULTURAUSSCHUSS. Mit Elektronik soll in der Stadtbibliothek Personal gespart werden. Das Zauberwort heißt RFID. Gut aussprechen kann man´s nicht, dafür soll man damit so gut lesen können wie bisher: Mit dem System werden die Benutzer der Stadtbibliothek ihre Bücher, Zeitschriften, CDs oder DVDs beim Ausleihen und Zurückgeben selbst verbuchen können. So kann die Bücherei in Zukunft auf 3,5 Vollzeitstellen verzichten - und mittelfristig rund 150 000 Euro an Personalkosten sparen. Das haben die Mitglieder des Kulturausschusses gestern so vorberaten, die Entscheidung über die Einführung des Systems soll am 16. März im Haupt- und Finanzausschuss fallen.
. Neuer Rekord bei der Stadtbibliothek. Am 30. Dezember, dem letzten Kundentermin im vergangenen Jahr, stürmten die Fans die Regale an den vier Standorten Blücherstraße, Karstadt-Haus in Rheydt sowie in Rheindahlen und Giesenkirchen.
Heute startet Umbau zum Selbstverbuchungs-System / 105 000 Medien müssen neu registriert werden. Gut fünf Monate wird es brauchen, bis das neue Selbstverbuchungs-System in der Offenburger Stadtbibliothek betriebsbereit ist. Umbaumaßnahmen und Etikettierarbeiten starten jetzt – ab Januar können die 105 000 Medien dann ganz ohne Personalkontakt entliehen werden.
