Just as one flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil could cause a tornado in Texas, one flap in a project could cause a tornado for marketing team’s, hence marketing’s butterfly effect.
High tech marketing firm Misukanis & Odden is no stranger to this, as projects could be put at risk by flaps as simple as team members not being copied on critical email strings.
Discover how Misukanis & Odden no longer experiences these fears thanks to the online discussion feature in the OnePlace Chaos Management System.

The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) launched a public research consortium named ENCODE, the Encyclopedia Of DNA Elements, in September 2003, to carry out a project to identify all functional elements in the human genome sequence. The project started with two components - a pilot phase and a technology development phase.
JIRA lets you prioritise, assign, track, report and audit your 'issues,' whatever they may be — from software bugs and help-desk tickets to project tasks and change requests.
The RNA project deals in a very practical way with methods, tools and techniques for building dynamic knowledge systems. In these systems a key role is played by reference networks, sets of reference structures (like thesauri, taxonomies, etc.) and related content metadata. The project is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. It is a combined effort of a group of innovative small companies, vanguard institutions in the cultural heritage field and outstanding, internationally acclaimed academics.
The California Newspaper Project is an 18 year effort by the CBSR to identify, describe and preserve California newspapers. Close to 9,000 California newspapers were inventoried in over 14,000 repositories throughout the state, 1.5 million pages of California newspapers were preserved and made available on microfilm, and 100,000 rolls of negative microfilm rolls are being processed for permanent storage at the UC Regional Library Storage Facilities.

Changing purposes and composition of UK higher education increases the challenge of providing effective and timely academic writing development. User-group representatives identified the dissertation as a part of the student experience that is especially challenging and where students often lack appropriate support. Many technological solutions for writing development have been tried with varying degrees of success. ADE creates a step change by using social software to both develop a reflective, critical voice and to provide networked social support for UG and PG dissertation writing based on sound pedagogical models, using authentic examples, and following Web 2.0 tenets.
The Open Metadata Pathfinder project will deliver a robustly validated demonstrator of the effectiveness of opening up archival catalogues to widened automated linking and discovery through embedding RDFa metadata in Archives in the M25 area (AIM25) collection level catalogue descriptions. It will also implement as part of the AIM25 system the automated publishing of the system's high quality authority metadata as open datasets. The project will include an assessment of the effectiveness of automated semantic data extraction through natural language processing tools (using GATE) and measure the effectiveness of the approach through statistical analysis and review by key stakeholders (users and archivists). All outputs of the project will be integrated into AIM25 resources and workflows, ensuring the sustainability of the benefits to the community.
