El director del Hospital Escuela (HE), Marco Molinero, informó este miércoles que si el problema de los médicos internos no se termina en los dos próximos días, estarían dispuestos a pedir apoyo de los estudiantes de Medicina de las universidades privadas.
La Conferencia Episcopal de Honduras envió una nota al Congreso Nacional demandando la urgente aprobación de la Ley de Universidades Privadas, instrumento en proceso de socialización desde el año pasado. El documento fue firmado por el cardenal Óscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga, presidente de la conferencia episcopal, y todos los obispos de la Iglesia Católica de Honduras.
El Consejo Nacional Anticorrupción (CNA) y nueve universidades, representadas por sus rectores y académicos, constituyeron una alianza democrática para vigilar la correcta aplicación de la Ley Electoral y de las Organizaciones Políticas de cara a los comicios internos y generales.
Las universidades privadas aprovecharon el foro para “ablandar” a los precandidatos a favor del proyecto de creación de una Ley de Universidades Privadas, tema que ha enfrentado a estas organizaciones con la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH), ente que rectora la educación superior en Honduras.

Durante dos días, el foro De Frente organizado por la Asociación Nacional de Universidades Privadas de Honduras (Anuprih) sirvió para dar a conocer la postura y planes de gobierno de los precandidatos a la presidencia de la República, por los partidos tradicionales, de cara a la problemática de la nación y las posibles soluciones que le pudiesen dar.
Dirigencia magisterial acusa a los centros de educación superior de "ahuyentar" a los estudiantes con las pruebas de aptitud y admisión, y piden que se apliquen pruebas en las universidades privadas.
Los opositores a la nueva ley dicen que esta permitirá a la empresa privada acceder a fondos públicos y beneficiarse con el presupuesto de la universidad nacional.
Autoridades de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH), cuestionaron ayer que seis universidades públicas se hayan unido a las asociaciones de universidades privadas y eso lo consideraron contradictorio.
