Cosm is an integrated collection of extensions to Max/MSP/Jitter to assist the construction of navigable, sonified, complex virtual worlds, and has been designed to facilitate use in CAVE-like environments.
R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. It is a GNU project which is similar to the S language and environment which was developed at Bell Laboratories (formerly AT&T, now Lucent Technologies) by John Chambers and colleagues. R can be considered as a different implementation of S. There are some important differences, but much code written for S runs unaltered under R. R provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and nonlinear modelling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, classification, clustering, ...) and graphical techniques, and is highly extensible. The S language is often the vehicle of choice for research in statistical methodology, and R provides an Open Source route to participation in that activity. One of R's strengths is the ease with which well-designed publication-quality plots can be produced, including mathematical symbols and formulae where needed. Great care has been taken over the defaults for the minor design choices in graphics, but the user retains full control. R is available as Free Software under the terms of the Free Software Foundation's GNU General Public License in source code form. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms and similar systems (including FreeBSD and Linux), Windows and MacOS.
OpenDX is a uniquely powerful, full-featured software package for the visualization of scientific, engineering and analytical data: Its open system design is built on a standard interface environments. And its sophisticated data model provides users with great flexibility in creating visualizations.
Veusz is a GUI scientific plotting and graphing package. It is designed to produce publication-ready Postscript or PDF output. SVG, EMF and bitmap formats export are also supported. The program runs under Unix/Linux, Windows or Mac OS X, and binaries are provided. Data can be read from text, CSV or FITS files, and data can be manipulated or examined from within the application.
ClusterViz is a software to visualize the clustering process using the family of k-means algorithms. The program is free software under the GNU General Public License (GPL). ClusterViz allows to cluster data while visualizing an up to three dimensional projection. The clustering process is visualized using OpenGL. As clustering algorithms the family of k-means algorithms is implemented, including mixture models.
MeshLab is an open source, portable, and extensible system for the processing and editing of unstructured 3D triangular meshes. The system is aimed to help the processing of the typical not-so-small unstructured models arising in 3D scanning, providing a set of tools for editing, cleaning, healing, inspecting, rendering and converting this kind of meshes.
Vis5d+ is intended as a central repository for enhanced versions and development work on Vis5d, a free OpenGL-based volumetric visualization program for scientific datasets in 3+ dimensions. This project started out, with the blessing of the original Vis5d developers, as a conversion of Vis5d's build process to use GNU autoconf and automake. (Inspired by the difficulty of getting Vis5d to compile on the author's LinuxPPC PowerBook.) It quickly became apparent that many other enhancements were possible, and were of wide interest to users. Moreover, a large number of enhanced versions to Vis5d exist that have not been merged into the original Vis5d sources, due to time and resource limitations of the original developers, or to differences of opinion about design directions
Using XMind/XMind Pro with XMind.net's sharing service is a revolutionary way to enable both team brainstorming and personal mind mapping. With this major upgrade, we bring Web 2.0 concepts on community sharing into a popular desktop application. Our new Gantt chart view is a must for both junior and senior project managers. You'll find many more pleasant surprises with the new XMind product family.
This library provides Python functions for agglomerative clustering. Its features include * generating hierarchical clusters from distance matrices * computing distance matrices from observation vectors * computing statistics on clusters *
Processing is an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and interactions. It is used by students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists for learning, prototyping, and production. It is c
BioImage Suite is an integrated image analysis software suite developed at Yale University. BioImage Suite has extensive capabilities for both neuro/cardiac and abdominal image analysis and state of the art visualization. Many packages are available that are highly extensible, and provide functionality for image visualization and registration, surface editing, cardiac 4D multi-slice editing, diffusion tensor image processing, mouse segmentation and registration, and much more. It can be intergrated with other biomedical image processing software, such as FSL and SPM. This site provides information, downloads, documentation, and other resources for users of the software.
Open source graph visualization software. Takes descriptions of graphs in a simple text language, makes diagrams formatted as images, SVG for web, PS for PDF, GXL (XML dialect), and more.
If you need visualization of either simple data sets or complex, time-dependent data from disparate sources, OpenDX lets you easily gain meaningful insight into your data. If you are looking to build visualization applications for your end users, OpenDX h
