Mit der vorliegenden Broschüre will das AMS aus diesen Gründen einen Beitrag zum „Europäischen Jahr der Chancengleichheit für Alle“ [2007] leisten. Sie soll das Bewusstsein dafür schärfen, dass es sich bei Menschen mit einer Behinderung - geschlechtsspezifisch differenziert - um Frauen und Männer mit Behinderung handelt – mit unterschiedlichen Ausgangslagen und Chancen, aber auch unterschiedlichen Stärken in Gesellschaft und Arbeitsleben. Um die Erschwernisse einer Mehrfachdiskriminierung bestmöglich aufzuzeigen und abzubauen, will diese Broschüre zu einer positiven Sensibilisierung beitragen und kann auch ein geeignetes Nachschlagewerk für Betroffene darstellen. Die Konstitution von Berufsarbeit als Konstruktion von Geschlechtlichkeit
In diesem Beitrag zeichne ich nach, wie in der Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung der Zusammenhang von Geschlecht und Beruf konzeptualisiert worden ist und wie somit der Diskurs um das Konstrukt Beruf geführt worden ist.
Trotz der zunehmenden Erwerbsbeteiligung und den sektoralen Veränderungen in Richtung
Dienstleistungs- oder Informationsgesellschaft ist am Arbeitsmarkt nach wie vor eine
deutliche Spaltung in „Frauenbereiche“ und „Männerbereiche“ gegeben. Das Faktum, dass
Frauen und Männer in unterschiedlichen Tätigkeitsfeldern, Berufen und Branchen
(horizontale Segregation) sowie auf unterschiedlichen Hierarchieebenen (vertikale
Segregation) beschäftigt sind, wird mit dem Begriff der Segregation umschrieben.
Wenn von der Vereinbarkeit von Beruf und Familie die Rede ist, erscheint vor dem inneren Auge spontan das Bild von Müttern mit kleinen Kindern. Aber das Thema familienbewusste Personalpolitik ist vielfältiger: Zum einen zeichnet sich mit der Vereinbarkeit von Beruf und der Pflege Angehöriger eine bedeutende Herausforderung für die Zukunft ab, zum anderen wünschen und übernehmen auch Männer zunehmend einen aktiven Part in der Familie.
