The study was conducted to determine the status of the current stocks of the S. varius in Lianga Bay, Surigao del Sur from July 2016 to August 2019. Some variables in population dynamics, such as asymptotic length (L∞), growth coefficient (K), mortality rate (Z, F and M) and the exploitation rate of S. varius were estimated from length frequencies analyses by means of FAO-ICLARM Stock Assessment Tools (FISAT). Results showed that the growth performance index (φ) was 3.79, asymptotic length (L∞) was 202.65mm and growth coefficient (K) was predicted to be 0.15yr-1. Total mortality (Z) for S. varius was 1.04yr-1 with fishing mortality (F) and natural mortality (M) of 0.74yr-1 and 1.90yr-1, respectively. The increased of fishing mortality over natural mortality, decreased of size of the catch, inflated current exploitation rates (E) of 0.7 which was higher than the optimum level of exploitation (E= 0.50). The Emax, and E10 were 1.29, and 1.55 respectively which interpreted as overexploited. It is therefore to recommend for immediate action in ecological, economical and legal aspects in the fishery of S. varius in Lianga Bay Surigao del Sur, Philippines.
Research shows that grades are often not a good reflection of student learning and growth, and that being graded can be stressful for students. In addition, many traditional grading practices can exacerbate existing academic inequalities. We encourage faculty to design assessments that directly support student learning first, with their evaluative role considered secondarily.
We have compiled some options for creating assessment activities and policies which are learning-focused, while also being equitable and compassionate. The suggestions are loosely grouped by expected faculty time commitment. Many suggest ways faculty can provide students with skills practice, feedback on their performance, and opportunities for reflection on their learning processes and growth. In all cases, the suggestions below assume some course design fundamentals including assessments aligned with course learning objectives.

I’ve included this website as NASPA is one the key associations in informing student affairs practitioners. Assessment is coming into play more and more for higher ed professionals for a couple of reasons. The first is there is an impetus to measure our work and impact on students. This paper presents a method for the assessment of oral fluency in Business English according to a two corpora-based lexical approach. The original query for our research is the possibility of esti- mating the level of oral skills among Business English (BE) learners by contrasting their word use in oral presentations with corpus data frequencies. Use of Information Technology (IT) resources and electronic BE corpora is thus measured in the evaluative approach to identify significant per- formance changes between learners who have used such electronic resources and learners who have not.

ABSTRACT: This article explores the emergence of multimodality as intrinsic to the learning, teaching and assessment of English in the Twenty-First Century. With subject traditions tied to the study of language, literature and media, multimodal texts and new technologies are now accorded overdue recognition in English curriculum documents in several countries, though assessment tends to remain largely print-centric. Until assessment modes and practices align with the nature of multimodal text production, their value as sites for inquiry in classroom practice will not be assured. The article takes up the question: What is involved in assessing the multimodal texts that students create? In exploring this question, we first consider central concepts of multimodality and what is involved in “working multimodally” to create a multimodal text. Here, “transmodal operation” and “staged multimodality” are considered as central concepts to “working multimodally”. Further, we suggest that these concepts challenge current understandings of the purposes of, and possibilities for, assessment of multimodal text production.
